'I commissioned Will to film some drama reconstruction for a BBC documentary called "Mecca under siege". I was bowled over by the material Will shot in Jordan. It was fantastic. Imaginative, stylish, with some brilliant framing and composition of the highest class. He followed the brief very closely and gave us a wealth of options in the edit. It was a taxing, high pressure shoot under difficult conditions. But the quality of Will's images and the deftness of his direction lifted the whole film. It's unusual to find a director camera operator of his exceptional abities.
